Workforce licence, insurance for coaches, leaders and activatorss

It's important to note that:

  • For cover to be operative you must hold a valid Workforce Licence with British Triathlon.
  • You must hold the appropriate qualification to coach or lead a particular activity. If you are not qualified, insurance cover will not be operative.
  • A trainee coach, leader or activator must hold a Provisional Workforce Licence to be insured while working under your supervision.
  • You receive cover operating as an individual coach, leader or activator (including those which are operating as a sole trader or limited company/entity) working within the remit of a qualification recognised by British Triathlon subject to an annual income threshold of £50,000 per annum in respect of your Workforce Licence.
  • If you have a Provisional Workforce Licence and are a trainee coach, leader, or activator your insurance only covers you to deliver the activities that are directly connected to your qualification requirements. You are not covered for activities outside of this until you have successfully passed and gained a full Workforce Licence.

If you have any questions regarding the insurance you receive, please refer to the FAQ section below.
