As part of your Snowsport England membership, you receive insurance benefits which are dependent upon your type of membership:

The insurance covers explained

Public liability insurance provides protection against legal liability for bodily injury to third parties and damage to third party property.

Products liability insurance provides protection against legal liability to pay compensation including legal costs for death or bodily injury, or damage to third party property arising from products supplied.

£15,000,000 each and every claim or loss, defence costs paid in addition, the limit is in the aggregate in respect of Products Liability.

The policy excess is £250.

Cover is provided by Sportscover Europe Ltd and American International Group UK Limited.

Personal Accident cover provides a set financial payment in the event of an accidental injury, such as death, permanent disability, physiotherapy, dental expenses, etc.

The main benefits provided are as follows:

•        Death up to £50,000

•        Permanent Total Disablement* up to £50,000

•        *The basis of cover for permanent total disablement is any and every occupation

•        Physiotherapy up to £500

•        Dental expenses up to £750

•        Hospitalisation £50 per day up to £750

•        Primary dislocation (kneecap, elbow, shoulder or hip) up to £250

Broken bones covered:

•        Arm (Humerus, Radius & Ulna) or Wrist (Carpals) - £250

•        Leg (Femur, Tibia, Fibula), Ankle (Tarsals) or Kneecap (Patella) - £250

•        Skull (excluding facial bones), Collarbone (Clavicle), Shoulder Blade (Scapula) - £250

•        Maximum benefit per claim - £500

Travel insurance provides key cover for winter sports trips within Europe such as emergency medical expenses and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment and personal belongings:

The main benefits provided are as follows:

•        Medical and Emergency Travel Expenses including Repatriation £10,000,000

•        Personal Belongings £2,500

•        Money £2,000 (maximum £1,000 cash)

•        Cancellation, Curtailment or Change of Itinerary £5,000

•        Ski Pass £200

•        Piste Closure £20 a day up to £300 total

•        Rental Vehicle Excess £1,000 per claim

Cover is included for one trip up to two weeks long. There are options to add additional trips as follows:

-        One additional trip up to 14 days: £45 per person

-        One additional trip up to 28 days: £70 per person

-        Multiple additional trips within a 4 month period: £275 per person

Coaches, Instructors, Leaders and Officials also receive the benefit of:

Cover to protect a coach/official for claims made against them which allege that a third party has suffered an injury or financial loss caused by negligent acts, errors or omissions during coaching/tuition activities or other advice given.

£5,000,000 each and every claim or loss and in the aggregate, defence costs included.

There is no policy excess.

Liability incident

It is important that all incidents that may give rise to a liability claim, however minor, are reported to Marsh Sport as soon as possible after the event. Please contact:

Personal Accident Claim

To submit a personal accident claim (for blue members and higher), please contact Marsh Sport for a claim form:

Travel Claim

To submit a travel claim (for black members), please refer to the Emergency Medical Assistance Card. (See useful downloads). The claim will be processed by CEGA Assistance.
